Men’s Addiction Recovery Programs: Treatment in Colorado

At Spero Recovery Center, we offer a residential inpatient program for men. Guests stay on our site for a minimum of 30 days, with the option to stay up to 90 days. As a more intensive level of care, our inpatient treatment provides a structured environment where guests find sponsors and meet up with them regularly to work through the 12 Steps. Guests are immersed in a recovery community, and our goal is to prepare them for long-term recovery.

At Spero Recovery Center, our rehab facility teaches guests how to recover in real-time with support and counseling. Our unique approach establishes a sense of community and connection. We also offer:

Spero Recovery Center differs from a traditional treatment center in many ways. However, although we may be different, we do provide clinically-informed programming for our guests. Our clinical director has over two decades of experience with various treatment modalities. With clinical oversight, our guests are given the opportunity to evaluate past behaviors, repair relationships, and begin a life free from substances.

At the heart of our addiction recovery programs is the 12 Step model—a proven framework that fosters spiritual and emotional growth. At Spero Recovery Center, we integrate the 12 Steps into daily life, allowing men to work through the program in real time within a supportive recovery community. Guests meet regularly with sponsors and engage in group therapy sessions, building lasting relationships that support long-term recovery. This structured yet flexible approach helps address substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders, laying a strong foundation for personal transformation and sobriety.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides a crucial bridge between inpatient treatment and full reintegration into daily life. This level of care is ideal for men who have completed residential treatment but still require clinical oversight and accountability. Through scheduled group therapy, evidence-based therapies such as motivational interviewing, and access to medication assisted treatment when appropriate, clients are supported in early recovery while maintaining responsibilities at home or work. Our IOP supports men in achieving long-term recovery through continued structure and therapeutic services.

Spero’s sober living homes offer a stable and substance-free environment designed to support men in early recovery. These homes serve as a transitional step between intensive addiction treatment and independent living. Residents benefit from peer accountability, daily routines, and regular recovery meetings—all essential components in reducing relapse risk. Our sober living program is a vital part of the full continuum of care we provide, offering unwavering support to those navigating the complexities of life after rehab.

For men facing both addiction and mental health disorders, our dual diagnosis care provides comprehensive treatment for co-occurring conditions. We understand the interconnected nature of mental health and substance use, which is why we offer clinically informed services tailored to each individual’s needs. Whether clients are managing anxiety, depression, PTSD, or bipolar disorder alongside substance abuse, we provide access to trained therapists and customized treatment plans. Our Men’s Aftercare Program continues to guide and support clients after they’ve completed structured inpatient or outpatient care. Through weekly check-ins, ongoing group therapy, and access to alumni mentorship, men remain connected to the recovery process and to others who understand the challenges of early recovery.
